The Hellions
The Hellions were an unexpected-expected find
What I mean, is that when I purchased my camera, it was because I had seen crazy vehicles on the road
From old classics to modern day supercars
So when I saw a teal green panel van in a Tim Hortons parking lot, I slammed the brakes and pulled in
that’s what this was all about
I met with one of the members - the owner of the Plymouth in the photo series here - and another man who owned the teal panel van
I explained my goals and interest in shooting the cars that people love so much and put so much work in to and how crazy it is to see so many in the streets as a common course of living
He explained about the Unfinished Nationals event coming up and how he was part of a crew of guys who had wicked classics and a rock and roll mindset
This all culminated in an exchange of contact information and a few days later, the photoshoot included here as the backdrop for the article
This was still very early in my actual practice and study of car photography, and my lack of coverage in the files really shows for it
I was excited to shoot the event The Hellions were going to be hosting, but due to weather and schedule problems on the raincheck day I never got to shoot The Hellions again
I am excited for next season
